How to Taste Wine
Introductory Tasting (Crouch End)
Our “introductory” session focuses on how wines taste different, without getting too hung up on the technical reasons why. Accordingly we try crisp dry, oaky and sweeter whites, a lighter red, something with bottle age, a couple of chunky blockbusters and a dessert wine to finish. By the end of the session you should have gained greater insight into your own likes and dislikes and be able to communicate those preferences with confidence when buying. More generally you should have an introduction into the world of wine tasting and have gained some key skills and knowledge to employ at other events. Light food will also be served.
