A belter of a highland single malt, this Balblair single malt was aged for 18 years in a combination of ex-American oak and ex-Spanish sherry butts to give the whisky great complexity and astonishing length on the palate. The nose is rich and inviting with a medley of orchard pear, stewed apple, apricot, and sultana. The palate is elegant and refined with notes reminiscent of Christmas cake, nutmeg, dates, and cinnamon.
