Good value from the Tejo region (north of Lisbon but inland in the Tagus valley). The Touriga really shows in a scented, juicy, ripe style, with rich purple fruit and a rounded, generous, creamy feel. Try this if you like southern Italian reds. The ripeness is accented by the sweet, gentle notes of oak. A very popular wine for many years at Bottle Apostle.
