Sancerre Rouge 'La Noue'

Riffault's La Noue is a statement piece showing how Sancerre Pinot Noirs can give richer-styled Burgundies a run for their money. Quite fruity up front, but judiciously done so with excellent finesse, structure, and freshness. Silky notes of violet, cherry, and hedgerow fruit are evident, but they are expertly balanced with a nice herbal note of garrigue on the palate. |O|B|
