Sales Assistant - East London - Part-time

Established in 2009 and with four shops, Bottle Apostle is one of the few independently-owned London retail groups. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to join our Victoria Park team, for 3-4 shifts per week, as we reach the next stage of growth and development.

We have incredibly loyal customers and are looking for someone with experience working in a busy retail environment, with a professional attitude, strong commercial understanding, a keen attention to detail, who enjoys developing strong customer relationships. This of course runs alongside a knowledge of wines, craft beers and spirits. Most importantly, we want someone with the hunger to learn and grow with us regardless of their current knowledge level.

Requirements:

An energetic team player who is eager to jump in and develop their passion for wine
Excellent communicator who can provide first class customer service
Extremely organised with an attention to detail and ability to write passionately about wine
Previous retail experience with an understanding of wines, craft beers and spirits
WSET level 2 required
Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential
Ability to repeatedly lift 20kg

Key responsibilities:

Offer customer service at the highest standard supported by expert knowledge of the range
Be a point person for customer enquiries with excellent customer support abilities
Help create, organise and run a regular series of tasting events both in-store and off-site
Assist with receipt and distribution of the deliveries
