For a grape that plays such a vital role on some of the world’s most celebrated red wines (think Rhone, Rioja, Priorat) it seems to fly under the radar compared to its peers in the shape of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Tempranillo to name a few. In fact, it is the fifth most planted grape variety in the world. Grenache, Garnacha, or even Cannonau in some places, is an incredibly versatile grape, and one that thrives in environments that many others would suffer in. It is one of the wine world’s great chameleons.

From the green fruit-driven styles of white (yes white!) Garnacha Blanca and Grenache Blanc, the fragrant, Pinot-esque styles of Gredos Garnacha, to the rich, full-bodied styles of Rhone, Priorat and Sardinia, as well as some stunning renditions from the New World, join us as we explore this fascinating grape variety in all its range.
