Clonakilty Distillery

Clonakilty’s Single Pot Still is a show stopper of an Irish Whiskey. A blend of 60% un-malted and 40% malted barley aged for 5 years in a mix of ex-Bourbon, Oloroso and Amontillado casks. This offers a wide, complex nose of baked pears, apple, barley water, Horlicks like maltiness layered with yellow fruit, prune and raisin. The palate is rich, a little smoky, leather, cigar box alongside clove and baked banana towards crystallised ginger on the finish. Enjoy over a ball of ice.
