Cnoc Na Moine Scotch Single Malt Whisky

Cnoc Na Moine - gaelic for 'Hill of Peat' - couldn't be named any better for the long-awaited third official release from Torabhaig. Packing a huge 78ppm of phenols in the malt, this whisky is intensely smoky and peaty showing plenty of TCP and iodine.Torabhaig has also blended in some stock aged in PX and Oloroso sherry casks skillfully to not obfuscate the delicious citrus and salt-pepper spirit signature. The sherry influence, however, adds a fantastic savory smoked bacon note which melts away into dried fruit and walnut on the finish.
