Cnoc Na Moine Scotch Single Malt Whisky

Cnoc Na Moine - gaelic for 'Hill of Peat' - couldn't be named any better for the third release from Torabhaig. Packing a whopping 78ppm of phenols in the malt, this whisky is intensely smoky and peaty showing plenty of ash and bonfire smoke.Torabhaig has also skillfully blended in 8% of ex-sherry casks in the maturation to conserve the delicious citrus and fruity spirit signature. The balanced sherry influence, however, adds a fantastic savory smoked bacon note on the nose which melts away into dried fruit and delicate turkish delight on finish.
