Glencadam Reserva PX Single Malt Scotch

New to the Glencadam lineup, the blender deviated from the usual ex-bourbon maturation process by adding the whisky to a well-judged finishing period in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. With good maturity (between 8-12 years of age), this is a well-executed and moreish, proper old school 'sherry bomb'. Christmas cake, plum, dates, figs are very upfront on the palate, and the finish is complex with lovely notes of cedar, walnut and toffee. A winner in the 'Best Highlands Single Malt Scotch Whisky' category at the 2024 World Whiskies Awards.
