Abasolo Mexican Corn Whiskey

Mexico may be known for its Tequila, but it produces exceptional whiskey too. The Abasolo is a 100% high-altitude grown heirloom cacahuazintle corn whiskey made via the ancient nixtamalization process of soaking the corn kernels in an alkaline lime bath before washing, roasting and milling pre-mash mix. Its double distilled and aged for 3 years in oak resulting in distilled tortilla, baked-banana, white pepper, lemon rind and popcorn. Try in an old fashion with a drop of mezcal.
