Uncle Nearest Small Batch Tennessee Whiskey

A distillery proud of its African-American roots in the 19th century, it is working hard to put Tennessee back on the serious whiskey drinker's map after the decades of dominance of poor quality Jack Daniels bottlings. Aged 7 years with a mashbill containing 8% of rye to add a spicy dimension, the nose and palate are very complex with the typical caramel and vanilla, but backed up by an enchanting background of sweet cinnamon, nougat, cigar tobacco, and a strong note reminiscent of digestive biscuits. Very complex whiskey for the money.
