Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste

A great example of the hands-off, un-worked style which allows the wine to express its exceptional terroir in Pauillac. It has a beautiful pure line of fruit on the nose with a touch of fresh acidity, full of rich blackcurrant fruit but restrained with integrated oak. Not a blockbuster vintage but a pleasure to drink now and will easily drink well, if kept in correct conditions, over the next 10 to 15 years.
