Chiroubles La Forge

Chiroubles is normally a lighter, more aromatic style of Beaujolais. Here though, we have a darker, richer version that behaves almost like a morgon, but still retains the perfumed nature of the village. There is deep, dark concentration of fruit, balanced with some tannins that aren't too prominant. It is a touch savoury too on the finish and once again shows how you can get great value from some classy wines from part of France.
