Grignolino d'Asti

Not the most famous of Piedmont's grape varieties, but Grignolino makes a lovely wine indeed. Don't be deceived by the pale colour, it's got quite some body to it with velvety plum, blackberry and pomegranate and a fresh (yet sneakily boozy) finish. Drink young.
