Il Bianco

Mirella was given this vineyard on the north face of Mount Etna as a wedding gift by her husband and the vines are now 80-100 years old.  Aged for 8 months in oak, then given another year in the bottle.  You get a real sense of place from the wine, with slight whiff of volcano before the clean, pure fruit comes through and then a lick of salinity.
