'La Legendaire'
Desrat Saint-Verny
Made from Pinot Noir and Gamay grown on volcanic soils, the wine is vinified and aged in barrel for one year before being carried up a dormant volcano at 1200m altitude for aging in a buron (bothy) for 6 months. A lot of wine for the money for a light red, with notes of black cherry, cranberry, and a light sprinkling of dusty spices.
