Warm vintage in a cool area with soils derived from a chain of ancient volcanoes, from a really well run co-op winery. And it shows in the Pinot, with excellent varietal character for its price. Rich cherry and plum, prominent acidity, well judged dry structure and light, but broad, tannic grip.
