Le Colombier

Lebanon's wines have improved dramatically, even when, as in 2007, shells were falling in the vineyards! Something new-worldy about the fruit here but with a Bordeaux-ish finish. Overall, very much a spicy, cherry-laden Mediterranean style that reminds us of Moroccan and Spanish counterparts. Bold, deep and dark, but not too heavy.
