Pesenti Vineyard Zinfandel

Zinfandel is well suited to the arid climate of Paso Robles. This single vineyard was planted in the 1920s by Italian emigrant, Frank Pesenti. Bought by Larry Turley in 2000, dry-farmed, and certified organic. Matured for 15 months in oak and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deeply perfumed and enthralling nose of ripe red fruits, high-toned spices, orange zest, and mintiness. Palate is smooth and lush, with a smack of well-toned acidity, and a very long finish.
