From the daughter of Cornas legend Jean-Luc Colombo, we have a fun Saint-Peray whose name is a french equivalent of leap frog, also a nod to the extra altitude this wine has over the rest of the appellation at 550m. A single vineyard plot with granitic soil, this wine has a surprising freshness given the age. No oak is used at all, but there was 9 months lees ageing giving the fresh stone fruit a slightly honeyed edge. Naturally produced but with none of the funk.
