Alex Chartogne is building quite a reputation in Merfy, just north-west of Reims. Trained by Anselme Selosse, Alex promotes soil health, practises organically, uses low yields and native yeasts. Sainte Anne is a remarkable wine with ripe citrus, crisp green apple, quince and a delightful salinity. A very fine Champagne based on 2021 vintage with 4g residual sugar. |nc|
